Valentine's Day (A Day for Love)

So, this is my first post. I don't exactly know how this whole thing works...but I know how to state my opinions as facts...lol. Either way, I'm gonna get used to this mess...become a beast...then people gonna hate me. With that being said, I shall give my analysis on this whole Valentine's Day frenzy-that is on a whole different level now that Twitter and FB are so widespread.

First of all, I am not a hater on V-Day at all. I actually believe that a day set aside to show how much you LOVE and appreciate somebody in your life is very necessary. Just as you should celebrate Jesus being born, and dying for our sins everyday, but that doesnt stop you from celebrating Christmas and Easter. They are just days set aside just for that purpose. You should let ppl know that you love them everyday. Noone should have to wait on Valentines Day for you to buy them flowers or candy or dinner. However, its nice to know that at least this one day women will feel like the queens and Princesses that they are. And vice versa for the men.

With that in mind, I am not saying that everyone deserves to celebrate Valentines day in this fashion. The problem that I have with Valentines Day-besides the Christmas-esque commercialism-is the loose way that people celebrate it. Like I said earlier, I am in full support of a holiday where you show love to those that you LOVE...if you don't love that person, why the hell you spendin all that money?

People are starting to use Valentines Day as a means to getting to LOVE...rather than showing love that both parties know is there already. Bois go out and buy roses and candy and date and all that just to get that DO DO DO DO YOU HAVE IT? (Nickelodeon reference). If bois really wanna pay somebody to have sex with them...there are hookers...they are cheaper in the long run and you dont have to talk to them or coax them into doin nothin...lol. Wit these girls that yall call yalls "Valentines" yall gotta go out to eat...here them talk about they bullsh*t day...get a lil wine or somethin...talk some more at the house...then get down wit the get down. Waste of time and money. And on top of all of that, half the time you investin all of this into a person that you probably won't even be with next Valentines day.

When you get above 21, you are too damn old for 2 month relationships that you call LOVE and then yall break up and you wit somebody else a week later. Valentine's Day should be reserved for the married, engaged, or serious long term relationship people. Everybody else, just chill and enjoy being single...or enjoy gettin to know the person you with. No need for showcasings of LOVE when you dont LOVE that person.

OR they need to start sellin Valentine's Day stuff that says how much you LIKE somebody. Then more people could shop honestly. Cuz me....I don't LOVE them hoes...I just LIKE em...lol.

So until I find somebody that I REALLY LOVE...I aint trippin on V-Day...yall have fun tho...those that are secure in their relationship and know they in LOVE.
